Level 1 Arabic — Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk, Book 1, Part 1

Our Level 1 class gets you speaking from the very first week. Working through Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk Book 1 (Part 1), you'll cover greetings and introductions, family, housing, study and work. Building the core sentence patterns of Modern Standard Arabic through listening, speaking, reading and writing. By the end of the term you'll hold simple conversations and read short vowelled texts on your own.
Who it's for: Complete beginners who can recognize the Arabic letters. No prior study required beyond the alphabet.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:
Read short vowelled Arabic texts with confidence
Write simple sentences using correct structure
Understand beginner-level passages and dialogues
Introduce themselves and hold simple spoken conversations
Talk about family, home, study and work using everyday vocabulary
Recognize and apply foundational grammar patterns of Modern Standard Arabic
